Ready to paste, two ways

Every story is a single plain-text file, written as instructions for your AI. Use it whichever way suits you:

Attach the file

Start a new chat, attach the .txt and send it. The narrator takes it from there.

Paste it into the instructions field

Put it in Google AI Studio's System instructions, or save it in a Claude Project or a Gemini Gem, and every new chat starts the story for you.

What playing looks like

A moment from The Lazy C Ranch. You write what your character does; the AI narrates the rest.

Player

“Guilty,” I say, and pick up my duffel. “In my defense, nobody told me he was half-broke. Any chance you’re headed up to the Callahans’?”

Narrator

She laughs, a real laugh this time, not the rodeo-queen one, and leans across to pop the passenger door. “Kayla Bergstrom. We’re the neighbors. I’m returning a trailer Sadie is going to swear I scratched.”

The gravel unwinds along the creek, past cottonwoods and black cattle. “Fair warning,” she says, eyes on the road. “Branding’s Saturday. Half the valley’s coming, and the other half is coming to see if you try that colt again.”

Over the last rise, the headquarters appears: a white house with a long porch, red barns, and in the round pen a young woman on a sorrel colt. You’d know that colt anywhere.

Kayla Bergstrom: amused → curious.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Free stories copy or download right here, with no email. Paid ones only ask for your email at checkout on Gumroad.

Do I need a paid AI subscription?

Not always. Short stories can work on free plans. Longer campaigns work much better on a paid plan, with the smartest models and higher message limits.

Why not use an AI roleplay app?

Cost, mostly. Those apps charge their own subscription on top, often with credits or limits. With your own AI subscription, you get a story once and replay it as often as you like.
